MottoThink slowly and fix things

People have forgotten the entire purpose of rights: to protect the minority from the majority.

The majority never itself requires freedom of speech, press, or religion, because it is their opinion that defines the popular and acceptable. Only the *un*popular requires a defense.

Making a list of those using the hashtag #twitterrefugee for my own edification. Amazed by how many are white, highly-educated, and clearly clueless about the most oppressed group of humans on the planet.

No more refugee cosplay. Seriously. It is sickening and cruel. Please stop.

full quote is "Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, vox populi, vox dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit.”

it translates to:

"Do not listen to those who say the voice of the people is the voice of God, since the tumult of the crowd is always close to madness."

Right. Time to do this a bit early this year for... reasons.

At this point, the Conservative Party rule Britain in the same way the dinosaurs 'ruled' the earth.

Neither has any actual skill in government. The system just placed them at the top by default. Both were just waiting on an extinction event.

We purposefully choose not to disclose reasons why specific instances are blocked.

This is not the only example of harassment that we'd get from other instances. People ask why something is blocked, and want to get into a fight about it, as opposed to moving on, both as in ignoring us, or moving from our instance if they don't like our blocks.

I know that moving is not super simple, but I'm here to protect our community

Been chatting with folk about the data discrimination bill today - explaining how watering down our data rights will cause more discrimination. Quite a few people worried about companies getting access to our NHS records. https://www.openrightsgroup.org/campaign/stop-data-discrimination/ #NHS #data #Privacy #GDPR

Stop Data Discrimination

The government wants to make it easier for companies and authorities to use your data against you.
