Popped into the eagle cam feed for my morning. Babies were doing wingers in the nest. They seem like they are picking up the cues from momma and daddy.
Just then, mommma swoops in with a big ol feeesh.

Jackie and Shadow are such great parents, and its been especially challenging thus year(constant battles with the local ravens and hawks. Thier original clutch of eggs were breached by ravens back in winter.

I am wondering how/if Friends of Big Bear Valley can keep blocking this development that wants to build close to the nest and eliminate the last bit of land along the lake where Jackie and Shadow forage and hunt. They been heading it off for 20 years but... now they need to make another money push
