Turns out if you call this number: (703)292-5111 you can be put through directly to senior staff at NSF. I just called and left a long voicemail for Micah Cheatham regarding my concern about the restructuring/dismantling of the NSF. I am not sure if this action will have any impact, but it's worth a try. Maybe if enough of us scientists call Mr. Cheatham directly it will get through to him. I think most people probably don't think about invasive, noxious weeds as a big problem. But the impacts are felt across multiple ag communities nationwide from small operations to large.
