The State Department has been doing this systematically, ordering embassies in many countries to send out these attempts to extort local businesses and organizations into engaging in discrimination: https://bsky.app/profile/chriso-wiki.bsky.social/post/3loldpogpqs2h .

It is blatantly illegal under United States laws; the laws of the countries concerned; and international rules.

Yet another reason why Donal Trump, Marco Rubio, and those with them need to be removed from power.

3/ Since February 2025, US embassies around the world have been sending letters to local contractors making similar demands.
