Solidarity in the streets.

While land defenders are holding blockades in Nehirowisiw Aski (Atikamekw territory) to resist the CAQ’s new forestry regime, anti-colonial accomplices in Tiohtià:ke shut down the Papineau–Ontario intersection during rush hour.

Traffic toward the Jacques-Cartier Bridge was blocked for nearly 20 minutes. Flares were used to hold the space. Cops were caught off guard. No arrests.

This is what real solidarity looks like. The forest is under attack — and the frontline needs urgent support.

Québec is about to sell off the fucking forests to the logging industry.
Bill 97 would hand over control of one-third of public forests, gut protections, and sideline Indigenous nations who have been defending these lands since forever.

First Nations leaders, environmental orgs, unions — everybody with half a brain — are joining forces to stop this shit. This is a rare moment where different fronts are coming together to fight for the forests, for the land, and for future generations.

They’re calling for a total rethink — and it’s happening fast.
A Forest Summit is planned for May 20th in Saguenay.

If we don’t raise hell now, the forests — and the people who depend on them — are fucked.
