It's a bit of rock. It’s not particularly remarkable and is rather shoulder shrugging to look at. It might not even be the real one.
I don’t want to put down the centrepiece attraction for our new local museum, but I don’t think it’s much of an attraction. And they’ve wasted a lot of space to house it. Space that could have been given over to a much greater number of exhibits.

966 years ago today. Malcolm Canmore was crowned King Malcolm III of Scotland at Scone - on the Stone of Scone - on 25 April 1058. The headline says “Destiny” but it’s also known as The Stone Of Scone (pronounced Scoon).
The news reports present it as a return home, and it is, Perth was once the Capital of Scotland, but so too was Scone, as were other places in Scotland, prior to the current one, Edinburgh.
