Under Section 22a of the Road Traffic Act 1988 it's an offence to interfere with street lighting - by, say, attaching unauthorised objects to them.

Near me they surround a pedestrian crossing notorious for drivers speeding and jumping the red light. This additional distraction clearly increases the danger to other road users.

By law they need to be removed.

Everything is going pretty smoothy now, on round 44 of 88 for the body (before separating out the sleeves).

I am technically missing one stitch, but after a small panic over how/where to add it back in (because I need it to make the math for the 2x2 ribbing work out), I'm just going to slip it in on the first round of ribbing in a pfb.

Today I finished #book 20 of this year's #52BookChallenge, 'Death of a Gossip' by #MCBeaton... it's the first book of the #HamishMacbeth series. It's also for prompt 37, a genre chosen by someone else. It is a drawing room #mystery that was chosen for me by a friend.

I'm not really too sure what to make of this book, as it was a rather long build up, with a short investigation. I'll probably carry on with this series, but it won't be a priority, unless it starts getting better.

#ShirleyHenderson (the actress who played #MoaningMyrtle) is lovely in this series as Isobel Sutherland. However I'm wrong on the geographics... it would seem that the Loch Dubh of #HamishMacbeth is actually an imaginary one in the far northwest of #Scotland, not in the same location as the actual IRL #LochDubh. Cheers, Google, for that wee tidbit.
