Barrière de #StGilles is one of the most infamous places in terms of #mobility in #Brussels. A complete makeover is coming up: #trams will cross the roundabout instead of going around, safer pedestrian crossings, some green, no more traffic lights or cobblestones. SedistaPolice decides to block our local tiny park as well all roads to Midi station after the Morocco-Croatia game. They seem to be the usual forces bussed from Flanders to Brussels, some hold dogs that coincidentally(!) bark at young kids passing by. Given nothing happened the last weeks in our hood, it is hard to imagine this is anything but a show of force. Love this city but it remains in many ways hostile to its people.
