Some interior work is happening on the Squareback. The previous grey carpet was barely glued in. In the front it’s in several overlapping layers that aren’t glued at all.

While I’ve been wiring, the 3d printer has been making me a custom intake.

Time for some wiring. After 54 years of use I expect some strange wiring fixes. These turn signal wires are a prime example. “Just twist them together” “Never mind that extra wire, just leave it unprotected dangling”

My least favorite thing about this work is the goo from half a century old electrical tape. Sticky fingers can ruin my whole day. New crimp connectors and heat shrink tubing are looking good next to my custom 3d printed oil temp gauge though.

Lots of engine progress today. I did some science to determine the cylinder head size. There was a limited amount of swearing. Pretty good day.
