I still find it weird that #Hootsuite doesn't appear to (I'm not a current user) and neither does #SproutSocial - What I find weird is that #marketers know the value of #ownedmedia and the challenges of #disintermediation that the big social networks cause for them - but there doesn't really appear to be a good guide to managing #brands on #Activitypub - Ditto for #Government agencies

I think the biggest thing we could do would be to make setting up & operating a private server on an organisation's #domainname as simple and cheap as possible - And get those solutions integrated with #socialmedia tools like #hootsuite , #buffer, #sproutsocial and #Contentmanagement tools - So that organisations can quickly and easily start posting from accounts associated with their #website / #email

Interesting to read that #UKGS - UK Government Digital Service uses #sproutsocial for #SocialListening #socialengagement - No mention of #rss or #activitypub but notes about issues with visibility - Perhaps time they start considering #opengovernment aspects in their social media content policies. Would be interesting to know if anyone from #UKGDS is on #mastodon. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/social-media-playbook
