The Eurasian Spoonbill, is a large, wading bird in the ibis and spoonbill family. It shows a distinctive spoon-shaped bill, seen even in flight, which it uses to sift through mud and shallow water to find food such as fish, crustaceans, and insects. Adults are mostly white with a crest of feathers on the back of their heads and long legs suited for wading. This species is found in parts of Europe, Asia, and North Africa, close to wetlands, marshes, and shallow lakes. This species is almost unmistakable. One cannot just miss it!
