My curmudgeon level was just lowered after seeing r/birding rallying around a post about someone unexpectedly seeing an usual, injured bird in Times Square NYC to find said bird, a Virginia Rail, because two volunteers from the National Bid Alliance (was Audubon) are actively searching for it to make sure it survives!
For folks into bluebirds, my bluebird mentor shared this on a recent committee meeting, and it's super helpful. I'd love a printed and laminated copy, maybe someday.

Oooh, my #Merlin #BirdOfTheDay is a California Scrub Jay! Might be the first day I manage to get this achievement!
I was hopeful yesterday since it was a Green Teal and I took Bertie for a walk by the Tualatin River and some wetlands. Not a single duck type avian anywhere!
