Recensie: Spock’s Beard – The Archaeoptimist ★★★★½
https://writteninmusic.com/albumrecensie/spocks-beard-the-archaeoptimist/

Way back, #SpocksBeard crowdfunded an album of theirs, and promised fans at a certain level of support that their names would be used in a song.
Not sure they expected it to be this dark and glum 😬

That's sick! Just configured a smart playlist in my music app with the (more or less) complete œuvre of prog rock schoolmaster Neal Morse... and I could play 2 days and 16 hours of his stuff! 🙈
And I don't even have everything of him and his bands on my Jellyfin server, "only" 44 albums...
Spock's Beard til 2002 (plus "Snow live" from 2017), Neal Morse solo, Transatlantic, Flying Colors, The Neal Morse Band, D'Virgilio Morse Jennings, did I miss anything?

#SpocksBeard EU Tour 2026:
What's the matter with my favourite bands? Have they conspired to overwhelm me?
Knorkator, Amorphis, Leprous, Spock's Beard, Soen all releasing new albums the next months.
Well - could be worse 😅
* Knorkator: 12.9. (already listening)
* Amorphis: 26.9.
* Leprous (live): 24.10.
* Spock's Beard: 21.11.
* Soen: 16.1.
Hm, what will happen December? 🤔
