En août 2003, lors de ma balade à bord d'Isbjørnen II au #Spitzberg, nous avions fait un stop à Virgohamna, petite baie de Danskøya où des explorateurs se sont installés pour finaliser la préparation d'expéditions en #Arctique et notamment Andrée et ses compagnons à la fin du XIXe siècle.
#Arte a consacré 1 soirée à l'Arctique, dont 1 film retraçant l'expédition d'Andrée, dont subsistent quelques éléments des préparatifs à Virgohamna.
Ce documentaire exhume les fantômes des 3 héros suédois d'une expédition sans retour au pôle Nord, au travers de leurs photos, journaux et lettres retrouvés en 1930, 33 ans après leur disparition.

Today out at the top Mont Sujet / Spitzberg (1382 meters above sea level / JN37ND) with the radio to have some very friendly QSO‘s. Today with the Jopix CB-514 handheld radio and the new diy L-Match. Cows forced me to search for a new place, which I found some meters below the top of the mountain.
