Today is the last to day to register for #OpenChain and Friends in Stuttgart next week. We'll have a small #unconference session on the second half of the third day (which I will have the honor to moderate). There will be a lot of talks (and people to talk to!) on #FOSS, #CRA, #compliance, #cybersecurity, #sovereignity, #softwaredefinedvehicle, #innovation, #openhardware

In the process of deleting US tied accounts sounds dramatic to some. But decided to (hopefully) delete my WordPress account (and with it a Gravatar). It was fun in the early days e.g. of being a developer having ones avatar automatically shown.

My takes:
- Nextcloud has a tiny team w.r.t. for example Microsoft.
- If you can change for 80% of your users, that is a big step forward w.r.t. waiting for the perfect solution to be available. Definitely when M365 suddenly is 100% unavailable due to whatever reason.
- If you do (partially) switch to Nextcloud, that's also a big revenue increase for Europe.
- They already roll out 100.000 desktops a month.
- No, it is not 1:1 identical. But, neither are your shoes when you buy new ones. Some parts will be different.
