This is the 74th edition of HiveToday, returning after a long hiatus — and what a week to come back: Hive celebrated its sixth birthday on March 20th, with development activity humming across every layer of the stack.

Hive Projects Updates

• Splinterlands: The ninth Conclave Arcana Conflicts airdrop dropped DRAGONLORD MANCER, and a triple-voucher card release is on the way. airdrop post | card release
• Ecency: Introduced hive-x402, a protocol enabling Hive-native payments on the open web without intermediaries — a significant step for Hive’s role in internet-native commerce. post
• Ecency Mobile 3.5.2: The latest mobile release adds AI image generation, text-to-speech, and a major performance overhaul across iOS and Android. post
• 3Speak: Encoder Network Week 15 report published — the decentralized video encoding network continues its steady operation. post

Development Highlights

The Hive core development team had an active week, with 38 improvements merged across five repositories. The headline work was a coordinated infrastructure modernization: the entire node stack — hived, HAF, HAfAH, and hivemind — was updated in lockstep to standardize container security and upgrade how post content is stored internally. These kinds of foundational improvements make Hive nodes easier and safer to run, and set the stage for better performance across the ecosystem.

On the frontend, Denser received several user-facing reliability fixes, including better recovery from authentication issues and editor bug fixes for content creators.

The DHF continues to fund 14 active proposals. The HBD Stabilizer remains the dominant allocation at 12,000 HBD/day, followed by VSC Network (1,151 HBD/day), Hive Keychain (600 HBD/day), and PeakD (490 HBD/day). A community post calling for more transparent expense reporting from DHF projects (Show Us The Receipts) was among the top-rewarded posts this week, reflecting ongoing community interest in DHF accountability.
