It’s interesting to watch the #Unity licensing change cluster-fluff unfold. It feels, to me, like a Birdsite -> Mastodon Elon level, migration opperunity to get folk onto an open source engine like @godotengine

Personally I’m interested in exploring #godotengine for Automotive use to support our work at @snappautomotive, because open source solutions give our customers an easy path to verifying the core technologies we use to build #SnappOS

One modification we've made to #Android #Automotive OS (#AAOS) is adopting #JetpackCompose for the #UI (including the System UI). This allowed us to follow the current #Google UI/UX best practices, and to create a theming engine that can be easily adopted by system, in-house, and third-party apps to provide a high level of UI customisation.

This week we've been at #autotech Europe showing off #SnappOS, our IVI system based on #Android Automotive OS.

At the show, some of our developers were live-coding changes based on feedback from attendees, which we feel is the best way to show how we can help accelerate the development velocity of Automotive teams.
