It is not difficult to take "touristic photos" of Stavanger, I don't have to wait a long time for people to pass by to get "a clean shot". From September to April the streets are almost empty, in the "Preikestol-" and Cruise-boats months somwhat more.
If you visit Stavanger (or many Norwegian villages and cities) and want to meet Norwegians, the Mall is the place to go.

I would recommend putting the #smau tag in every post so people can filter if they want. Especially if we start getting a lot of #smau posts, bc those do start filling up the Home timeline page pretty quickly.

If you put smau also in the CW field, it'll automatically fill in each next post in the thread, you don't have to remember. And it collapses the post. I'm basing that on @pluralistic's tips (longtime Masto user who posts frequent LONG threads)

@flawedamythyst @creepypaper @Knitbelove I think then, all someone would have to do is block or mute that group and not the whole #smau hashtag? True to their form as a subset that Makes Shit Happen, the Canyon has already set up a Mastodon group. So like. Maybe a canyonite has more insight.

This is a very good point that I have also thought of.

All the ideas I've thought of are dependent on #SMAUthors actions -- things like always remembering to tag every single #smau post, or things like creating a group to follow on something like Chirp. Having that control in the hands of any user would obviously be much better. We don't want to have to block someone entirely bc there's no other alternative to SMAUs totally clogging our timelines.
