Et hus som bygger mennesker

Eiganes & Våland Avis (Macivi Media AS)
The east part of Stavanger used to be - like any eastern part of any city - for the people who drank too much, who had too many children, who didn't earn The Money. The last 10-15 years, something is happening here, too.
For better or worse.

Valbergtårnet, one of quite few towers in Stavanger. It is the inspiration for a classic and deeply rooted children's book character and his tower, Tobias in Cardamom Town.
The coastal ship in front is M/S Sandnes, both operational and used for festivities at harbor.

From a few angles Stavanger has a surprising city vibe to her.
The man made lake side hotel and office buildings seen through the staircase of the 700 hundred year old Katedralskolen.

Se da!
Den fineste fargen i verden heter vårgrønn. #stavanger
Still room for not so perfect architecture in a town like Stavanger.

A photo showing the changing face of Stavanger. From small (and not so small) houses to block of flats. But, still quite green, and with recreational spots, like a small man made lake, and a small ball playground. And a huge parking area.
The photo is from last autumn.

The strange story of the Swiss houses in Norway ...

I must admit I don't like the dead window panes, but I love that they have used old, traditional stone roof - a common feature here at Vestlandet because of the wind. It probably should have been a national treasure and saved.
