But, what is in essence the difference? I think doom pushes you down into the mire, while sludge sucks you down like a bog made of runny concrete, bogging you down.

Shall we try something novel? With Saturday being the focal point of doom, why don't we make Sunday the focal point of Sludge to complete the SlowMetalWeekend.

So, I think it is time for #SludgeSunday! Sludgemetal is the harder, nastier, more stank faced brother of doom metal and makes you feel like you're stuck in a bog, but the bog is made of settling concrete and the local fauna is looking at you a bit too funny.

I'll kick things off with, I think, my favorite sludge band from the Benelux.
