Oh my fucking god. I just right clicked a link to an article to open it in a new tab in Firefox and saw an option to "Ask an AI Chatbot (Z)." Fucking EW. There was thankfully an option to remove it from my context menu, but oh my fucking god, AI bros are so fucking desperate to adopt this tech en masse, I swear to god.

Let the fucking bubble burst, nobody fucking likes generative-AI and making it goddamn inescapable is not going to make us like it. Let it go the way of NFTs and the metaverse like it goddamn deserves. If generative-AI was genuinely that fucking good, people would naturally adopt it like we did with computers. Companies did not have to work this hard to get people to adopt computers because their purpose and value was obvious.

And @mozilla, @firefox please for the love of god, stop adding AI features. I get you're partially funded by Google, but grow a goddamn spine and listen to your users. People do not like these features and expect better from you. Firefox is supposed to be about privacy and generative-AI is NOT good for privacy (do I even need to mention Windows Recall?) You wanna be the alternative to Google so bad, yet you do the same scummy, disliked sh!t everyone hates Google for.

Videos who overly censor themselves, my beloathed. Videos who censor harmless words like beat, death, grooming, kill, abuse, rape, violence, or unironically use words like "un-alive" need to stop and touch grass. I feel like a goddamn toddler when videos treat such basic words like they're slurs. These are not dirty words, these are not slurs, you using them isn't going to harm anyone.

It's better to teach kids these words and how to use them so they can use them properly and responsibly, and give them the means to possibly relay their own experiences to trusted adults. Also, most small children know what fucking "kill" is and probably far worse, there are plenty of shows geared towards small children that use words like kill and death JUST FINE, and yet these Youtube videos NOT intended for children on a 13+ platform CAN'T??? You're not going to stop kids from learning these words, but you *can* stop them from using them incorrectly. Arm them with knowledge instead of constantly shielding them from harmless goddamn words.

Part of me thinks this is the spread of #TikTok 's excessive censorship leaking out into other platforms because I've seen people complain about similar things on #Tumblr before, but I don't have much evidence besides comparing and contrasting other digital platforms to TikTok in a before and after kind of style.

And like, it's just an insult to the intelligence of the viewers. As like I said, most kids already know these words, and trying to hide these words from them is an insult to their intelligence, and especially to older viewers as well. What does this censorship *do*, exactly? I know not all of it is to stay monetized because I've literally fucking seen "I Murdered a Customer" in the title of a monetized video before, so that's not it. Like, why? And regardless, stop it. Stop treating your audience like literal babies.
