Romulus wasn't destroyed by a supernova. Ben Sisko jumped out of the orbiting Defiant and punched the ground.
Ben Sisko was once bitten by a mugato. After five days of agonizing pain, the mugato died.
The Prophets didn't understand linear time until Ben Sisko punched them into next week.
