Il ministero dell'Economia e delle Finanze ha dichiarato che “è in corso di pubblicazione il decreto ministeriale che proroga fino al 22 maggio prossimo l'attuale taglio delle accise sui carburanti in scadenza oggi”. Il ministro degli Esteri e vicepremier Antonio Tajani ha commentato la notizia rivendicando il lavoro del governo che "ha risposto con provvedimenti sui carburanti e con un pacchetto di misure messo a punto con Ice, Sace e Simest”. Nel frattempo, all'Europa sono state chieste "risposte straordinarie sul tema dell'energia" per fornire una soluzione comune a un problema globale.
Oggi 9 maggio, in Italia, il prezzo medio in modalità self service lungo la rete stradale nazionale era pari a 1,931 euro/litro per la benzina e 2,015 euro/litro per il gasolio. Sulla rete autostradale, invece, il prezzo medio self era di 2,001 euro/litro per la benzina e di 2,084 euro/litro per il gasolio.
L'obiettivo del governo resta quello, da una parte, di tamponare la crisi energetica con la riduzione delle accise e, dall'altra, di fare pressione diplomatica per risolvere lo sblocco dello Stretto di Hormuz.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance has announced that “a ministerial decree is underway for publication that extends until next May 22nd the current cut in excise duties on fuels, expiring today.” Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani commented on the news, claiming the government’s work to “respond with measures on fuel and with a package of measures drawn up with Ice, Sace and Simest.” Meanwhile, Europe has been asked for “extraordinary responses on the energy issue” to provide a common solution to a global problem.
Today, May 9th, in Italy, the average price at self-service stations along the national road network was €1.931/liter for petrol and €2.015/liter for diesel. On the autostrade (motorways), the average self-service price was €2.001/liter for petrol and €2.084/liter for diesel.
The government’s objective remains, on the one hand, to cushion the energy crisis with the reduction of excise duties and, on the other hand, to exert diplomatic pressure to resolve the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz.
