By sheer coincidence, we watched GameOn ( TV3+) over the last few nights. A number of retired Silver Fern players were brought together with an equal number of young promising netball players and put through the rigour of training sessions. Bonding between all players over the many weeks was a significant part in their lead up to playing a tournament that tested their team play and abilities.
Mentoring, team spirit and determination is what brought success to this unique team.

Now it's needed more than ever with the Silver Ferns. Let's hope they're prepared to build on those attributes and come out better for it.
