Just a quick reminder - it's important to stop and smell the roses. This fuzzy guy was getting his fill the other day after all the rain.

I love the tiny beautiful things the most, like this Japanese Meadowsweet (or spirea) in full bloom in my yard.

While the honeybees are enjoying my raspberry bushes, the bumblers seem to love this Japanese spiraea. Their speed doesn't seem to match their plump little bodies, so catching them was a challenge!

The bees have decided my backyard is a great place to hangout, and they seem to love the little water station I created for them. It's also the perfect spot for some photo ops.

Bees in flight are amazing.

I am off to the rugby pitch later today - yay! - so I will leave you with this. This is how I take advantage of a dewy yard, a dreaded dandelion, and morning sunlight.

I am so excited by this image.

I couldn't resist grabbing my camera to capture all the ladybugs I uncovered while raking the leaves yesterday. This image is a reward for my patience.

I couldn't resist this tiny treasure that I found in the leaves while cleaning out a flowerbed yesterday. It is perfectly dried, bringing out the beautiful texture.

Because there is nothing better for the details than a little morning sunlight.
