From the 2016 historical musical “Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed” which tells the story of the 1921 revue “Shuffle Along” which is credited as inspiring the Harlem Renaissance and launching the careers of of Josephine Baker, Adelaide Hall, Florence Mills, Fredi Washington and Paul Robeson.
