Watched "Shiva Baby," starring Rachel Sennott and Molly Gordon. Quick, funny, and stressful, recalling Noah Baumbach or early Wes Anderson (more depressed, less whimsical). 4⭐

Trying to work my way through Almodovár's "Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down," but it's a rough watch. Definitely darkly funny at times but the entire premise is a rough one to justify. Nothing but time over here, so let's see how it all shakes out.

Finally finished this one up. As a "black comedy romance," it was a 2.5. It's a beautifully shot movie, and art direction is incredible, but its violent in a way I can't get behind for a film claiming that genre. As a psychological horror flick, I'd give it a 4. Novel, unique, horrific, and unsettling.

After that, I checked out two short offerings from the Alter horror house on YT: "Other Side of the Box" and "Who's There?" While the latter edges out the former by a half star for me, both are some of the better examples of the format.
