ChewieWe went to #SheffDocFest yesterday, and watched some really good films.
The first one was about microplastics called "Plastic People" (https://plasticpeopledoc.com/) and how microplastics have entered most organs of our bodies đ
We then watched "The Accidental President" (https://www.roastbeeftv.com/project/the-accidental-president/) about Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya who entered the Belarus elections after her husband was arrested and subsequent persecution.
Next was "Farming the Revolution" (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt32058765/) , about the 13 month protest by Indian farmers recently.
Then we watched "Piropolis "(https://www.sheffdocfest.com/film/piropolis), about some firemen in Chile. This was probably the weakest of all the ones we watched, and personally I didn't learn much :(
Lastly we watched "Mountain Queen: The Summits of Lhakpa Sherpa" (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt28448182/) about a Nepali woman and her struggle to become a sherpa and climb Mount Everest. This was on a huge screen in "The Light" cinema. The scenery was spectacular, and the story was good.
