I'm still cross about it. I'd add to the mix that NSea oil revenues could have helped a transition from coal by retraining and resettling miners and seeding new industry rather than just doing the Thatcher abandonment of communities previously reliant on coal mining.

A UK #MinersStrike began on #ThisDayInHistory in 1972, and as power generation was still mostly coal at the time the government backed down on 19 Feb. and offer a 21% raise. All industries deserve a #LivingWage and workers need a pathway to future work when they become redundant.

Due to being all chilled and zen I've decided to watch Miners Strike: Frontline Story on iPlayer. I'm gonna be in a grumpy rage very quickly I think.
