Just read *How to Kill A Guy in Ten Dates* by Shailee Thompson. A delightful combination of rom-com and slasher story. One thing I liked about it is the rom-com "happily ever after" ending is changed by the traumatic events the characters have been through. They've been through sh*t and life afterwards will never by the same.
