Couple of days late, but....

#IshambardPlays latest Let's Play on Castle of Illusion for Sega Genesis is live.

The first time I beat this game was only about a year ago, prior to that i had never made it much further than the 2nd world. After my first hard mode completion last year, I had mentally sworn that I would never do it again... Until a RetroAchievements set for the Sega Saturn port came up.

This is not a hard mode run.
I wanted a cosier run, even though the game is still incredibly challenging in places.

This game is the reason I got into MJ's music and I believe it was around the time he passed away in 2009 or sometime after. The music in this game rocks

Not sure why I love this game so much, I just think it is charming and fun.
I would love to see this game get the same treatment as DuckTales and Castle of Illusion, in the form of a modern day remake, perhaps get some great animation going and voice acting and I think you'd have a modern day great.

In secret, i'd love to have a Metroidvania style remake, with more globertotting locations, upgrades, etc. I feel there would be a lot of potential there!
