So happy to see game developers breathing new life into old 2D side-scrolling game IPs like Streets of Rage, Contra, and Shinobi… in a way that's modern yet faithful to the spirit of the original games.

Streets of Rage 4, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, Contra: Operation Galuga, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, and Marvel Cosmic Invasion are all such fantastic games!

So happy to see this particular genre of games make a comeback. We need more double-A releases like this.

Veo algunas similitudes entre Absolum y Streets of Rage 4.

Ambos son desarrollados por Dotemu.

Por ejemplo, en el DLC del aniversario del SoR4, añadieron un modo en el que en cada ronda los personajes pueden ir adquiriendo habilidades... Pues esa es una de las características básicas de Absolum durante toda la partida.

Y tambien hay un jefe final de fase en Absolum (una planta "carnívora") que es muy similar en mecánicas al jefe final del SoR4.
