I have given up #Cosplay mostly, but now I have ideas for a #Murderbot or #SecUnit Cosplay. 🤖
Which would mean that I have to build the whole thing from scratch because I don't think they sell such cosplays somewhere.
I could wear it at our local SFF convention next June or so. When I went there for the first time in 2005, I actually wore a generic android cosplay I had made myself with recycled materials (also spare parts from computers and other stuff I found in the trash).

#glasses update: After much tech support the second pair of XReal One 🕶️ are working again and pretty amazing actually. Laptops, Deck, Switch... and the Beam Pro phone from XReal has some neat tricks on its own with their AR Android overlay NebulaOS.
I can now watch my shows on the go even without a #SecUnit helmet visor!
Viture 🕶️ order still processing, too.

If you plan to go to #SecTech event at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre on 17 June, make sure to check boxed swag before you leave venue. Box should have contained a torch but only had a charging cable. Event is #FREE so not complaining.

As an event, OK for time waster but few security or tech people running stands, mostly sales folk. Most went blank when I asked where the #SecUnit was. I recommended #Murderbot to a couple for viewing or reading.

Most stalls offered Integration services or Key Management services. Not much on my interest areas - information security, social engineering, digital identity, or planning for and enabling accessibility of services.
