Poor Monty had surgery this morning. A foxtail seedhead got embedded in his foot and migrated up to his wrist. It really hurt him! Foxtail barley (Hordeum jubatum) had spiky seed heads that can burrow into an animal's flesh. It's always a good grass to get rid of if you see if growing in your garden or along your sidewalk.
