Mock orange (Philadelphus lewisii), one of my favorites, always herald the beginning of summer here.
The last time I passed this house (a year ago!), they had a puzzle sharing chest. This time they have a keychain library (or perhaps it's a trinket library?). Take a thing, leave a thing, swap things!

Some orange and gold color pops in the greenery. Apparently this is the Oso Easy Paprika rose. A cheerful charmer

What a difference a year makes! The last time I passed this fence, there was just a modest slot mailbox. It has grown into a Little Free Library! Pretty spiffy too!

We were out really early for the dog walk, and it was already 72°F (22°C). Here is some hot hot color for your enjoyment

I found another of Henry's 1000 Sasquatches! Ryan Henry Ward has a project to paint 1000 BigFeet around Seattle.
Also, a mural on an office coop building by Tori Shao.

A yellow-faced bumblebee on California lilac. I gather honeybees avoid the Ceanothus but obviously bumblebees like it. The bumblebees did not stop moving for me.
