Morning Mastodonians!

Well, here it is again, as unwanted as ever - Monday. It wasn't a bad weekend, even though it rained each day at least a little bit, making it 16 out of 20 weekends so far this year. I did manage to squeeze in a mowing of the lawn to at least show someone lives here. We played #Seafall on Sunday, getting in a whole "game", which was fun. It makes 8 games out of probably 20 for this campaign legacy game. #boardgames

I messed up #today when I didn't make R and I breakfast sandwiches, which I do every Wednesday morning. But without my regular Tuesday / Friday hockey, I kind of lose track of what day it is! I promised her I would make us sandwiches tomorrow morning. M will come over this evening and maybe we can get back to #Seafall. I tried to set up a play last weekend but it didn't happen. Then 4 Guy Co-op will take on level 8 of #SeriousSam 4. Although M just reminded me the #NHLBruins are playing tonight.
Probably nothing so exciting scheduled for #today. I'd love to take the #dogs for a nice long walk today - we haven't been to the Fells in weeks. And while it is still chilly, the sun is shining and it looks lovely. But I have my weekly lunchtime one-on-one with my boss, so I don't think I will have time for it. Tonight I would like to have an extra long #Seafall session, as B is out of the country on vacation, so we don't have the full 4 Guys Co-op band together.
I had a good evening of gaming last night. We finished another game of #Seafall. @adrienne won that one, but after 5 games, I'm slightly in the overall lead. We are still enjoying it. Then 4 Guys Co-op had a rousing game of Serious Sam 4. First time on Chapter 5, The Die Is Cast, and they throw you right into the fire! They must have heard my complaints about no wide-open brawling because it was wild - new monsters, including snipers. But B is traveling to China for a month, so no SS4.
So that means house cleaning is back on for #today. We've been trying to keep up with it, so it doesn't take too long each time. I had hoped to get in a real #Seafall session today but @adrienne's idea of a "free" afternoon is available by around 4 pm, which is a bit too late to get a game started. She's a busy girl. Going to test her Bolt EUV with a drive to Worcester.
I had a good day of gaming yesterday. On Tuesday, C and I started a new RPG, this one probably even longer than our recently finished 200+ hour Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Gloomhaven. There are 95+ dungeons and after 2 hours we didn't even get thru 1! So I played the tutorials. Then we got some time in on #Seafall. And then we finished a Serious Sam 4 chapter, although I had to increase our life count to 10 and we barely eked by then. Good times.
We didn't play #Seafall unfortunately. @adrienne was too tired. She fought off a stomach bug over the weekend and is still recovering I think. So instead C, M, and I played our Ark Nova game on BGA. We've been enjoying it. Lots of things to think about. Probably too long a game in real life (like 4+ hours I've heard), but it plays well asynchronously online. Wish I could win one for a change though! #boardgames @boardgames
I hope we can get back to #Seafall tonight. It has been over a month since we played and we even opened a new box at the end of our last play. I hope we can remember how to play! Then it is back to Serious Sam 4. I'm trying to remember if we were finally able to finish the 3rd chapter. Looks like we did, so we'll explore a new level tonight. Makes for a fun evening.
First real frost on the windshields #today. I need to make sure all the cars have scrapers. Again, not much planned. I should finish cleaning off the deck. Wondering if I should deal with the leaves before the nor'easter sets in on Saturday, although the trees in my yard have barely begun to drop their leaves. And perhaps we'll get in another session at #Seafall. It's been like 3 weeks. And finish up with a rousing game of #SeriousSam 4. Maybe I'll add a couple more lives.
Unfortunately, @adrienne was too busy with her Rover work for us to get back to #Seafall. C, M, and I have been playing the always delightful Castles of Burgundy on BGA - it's easily the best online implementation. I've been getting my head handed to me, so I need to get better! We might try it again. I suggested they take a look at Clans of Caledonia, which I've played online but only solo. #boardgames @boardgames
