Morning Mastodonians!

I am extra exhausted this morning. I mean, I'm always tired during the week for a very obvious reason - I don't get enough sleep. But we went to a friend's Seder dinner last night and we had a great time, but being sociable for 4 hours, even with just a small (8 other people) and friendly crowd completely wore us out. The food was great and it's fun seeing the Jewish traditions unfold, but it's not a situation we find ourselves in much and wow, is it tiring!

I sucked it up yesterday and took the dogs for a walk despite my crotchety knees. Only a short one but it was so nice out and the dogs wouldn't leave me alone, so off we went. They're happy with any effort. I salute those of you who have to walk your dogs multiple times a day. I get to open the back slider and let them out whenever they want (which can be annoying in its own way), so I'm not forced out there. But it is a great workout for all of us, so I try to do it once a day.
I messed up #today when I didn't make R and I breakfast sandwiches, which I do every Wednesday morning. But without my regular Tuesday / Friday hockey, I kind of lose track of what day it is! I promised her I would make us sandwiches tomorrow morning. M will come over this evening and maybe we can get back to #Seafall. I tried to set up a play last weekend but it didn't happen. Then 4 Guy Co-op will take on level 8 of #SeriousSam 4. Although M just reminded me the #NHLBruins are playing tonight.
I had an annoying day in the #SaltMine yesterday. I tried running our internal database integrity checks and was getting a weird error. As I've been making some pretty significant changes in that area, I try to find out what I did wrong. Eventually, I tracked down the source of the error, and using the newly discovered "git log" command, I could point my fingers at a new check added that didn't first make sure that data had actually been put in the DB. Sigh.

Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.
