I need some cheap picture hooks because I can't find the ones I took off my living room wall before it was renovated, those brass ones that you nail in, of course pound shops only stock the shitty plastic stick on ones that fall off. Don't want to order online because postage is more than the value of the item.
#Screwfix? They think I'm the fucking Tate gallery! What am I going to do with 100 of them?
At least #toolstation are a bit more sensible
Needs £90,000. Asks 500 people for £1,000 each.
You have been taking lessons. (-:
There is a lot to buy from Toolstation and Jewson with all of the left over lolly, of course. Fancy MDF plinths with a bit of white with a hint of fuschia splashed on, are not free.
I clicked "reject" and Screwfix gave me this rubbish. It hit 83% and then stopped.
You're not fooling anyone, Screwfix! Everyone knows this doesn't take any time. 🙄
Defective by design.
A local hardware supplier in the UK "Screwfix" has an app which you can use to order stuff. Unfortunately it has a problem.
If I try to add a bank card in the checkout then the last stage asks me to confirm the transaction in my bank app. So I switch to the bank app and do that.
The problem is because I switched away from the #Screwfix app it auto-cancels the entire checkout and card.
It is actually impossible to add a card in the app.
Huge thanks to the very helpful team at #screwfix in Shepshed for helping me get this #beastmaker on our wall. I went in looking for rawlplugs; they looked at the screws it came with and laughed, then recommended some heavy duty concrete screws, Torx screwdriver bits and masonry drillbit to do the job properly.
It’s for The Boy, btw, to help strengthen his fingers for climbing.
Money Talks | “Why Amazon should be afraid of Temu” | …and not just Amazon
I had a visit from an appliance repair tech to service my dishwasher last week, and he was extremely enthusiastic about Temu as a source for dirt cheap tools/consumables like blades for oscillating multi-tools.
When you can get a massive variety pack for £25 from Temu, or pay the same for one or perhaps two blades on Amazon or from Screwfix… there is an equally massive disruption ahead.
