So #Voyetra ran on Windows 3.x? That's dope! I love the Win3 aesthetic, there's something sublime about it.

And those decorative elements in #ScreamTracker 3 are badass. Yeah I can definitely take some cues from their designs. Can't edit characters like in #BIOS but box drawing and block elements go a long way

I do remember using programs that looked like #ScreamTracker 2 long ago but mostly for breaking the computer or for installing #Doom

Hey, I'm Raccoon Fink. I write electronic music of all kinds, most recently diving deep into #DungeonSynth.

I've been composing since the early 90s (as RangerRick) working with trackers after finding them on BBSes and eventually the #Demoscene.

Nowadays I work with #Renoise, the great-great-great-grandchild of those ancient trackers of old like #ScreamTracker and #FastTracker. It's an amazing tracker that combines oldschool workflows with modern DAW features.

before i ever learned how resonant filters and harmonics actually worked, my weird intuition to emulate them in #screamtracker (which doesn't have resonant filters) was to mix and fade multiple octaves of the same sinewave melody across separate channels 🙃
