Wow. It had seemed that Scouts had implemented the Disclosure Scotland Act changes in their POR changes in the Autumn last year, but they hadn’t.

Parent Helpers and Young Leaders of 16 and over now need a PVG Disclosure, and these changes must be implemented fully by 31st March 2026.

Parent Rotas and older Young Leaders may become extinct in Scotland for Scouting.

Last night’s Spring Term Planning Meeting went well, even though I did my signature long rambles, going off on tangents and occasionally forgetting to go back to certain points I was in the middle of trying to make or information I wanted to give.

🤡

And our prospective new Cub Leader is still wanting to sign up…

Should be a good upcoming Term. Even finally going to run @Doony’s Egg Drop suggestion. Yay!

Spent much of the first part of the day making a poster/flyer to get more Young People into our Beavers and Cubs Sections. We are down another of the latter as of last night and our Colony size is already critical, so it is a top priority.

In other news, the prospective new Leader I mentioned a couple of months ago is now coming along to our Term Planning Meeting tomorrow.

“Swings and Roundabouts” as the saying goes.

🦁 The Pack Committee Chair helps lead and organize the Cub Scout pack. 🙌 They handle planning, fill committee roles, and make sure the pack follows Scouting America rules. The chair also supports new volunteers, tracks deadlines, and keeps everything running smoothly. 🌟 A vital role that helps every Scout program succeed!
