Last night it was a joint Cubs and Beavers visit to our local Climbing Wall.

It was more involved than I expected, mainly because part of my planning brain never truly took on board that if we have 2 instructors then only 2 Young People are climbing at a time…and therefore you have to ensure the rest behave appropriately waiting their turn.

Tonight we (somehow) managed the double.

For the second time this week, when it looked like thunder storms, it was dry and we had campfires, s’mores and singing.

This time it was our Cubs.

The main difference was the Cubs got to build AND light the fires (several of them) ready for cooking, our Beavers simply did the wood sorting and simple building of one small campfire.

Some of the Pack finally also completed the Backwoods Cooking badge too. If initial programme plans had worked out it was originally up for completion late last year.
