Last night one of my Cub Pack asked me if I came from The Wild West.

This was because I had my Lemon Squeezer on.

I bought a traditional Scout “Campaign Hat” a few years ago and I endeavour to wear it at least once a year. I was fortunate to get a really great vintage one and it would be a waste not to use it. It's in immaculate condition.

Around Founder’s Day is an ideal time.

I wonder if anyone has worn a kitchen utensil on their head to Scouts in an effort to be funny?

Though The Scout Association in the UK doesn’t have headwear as part of the uniform these days unless you are in Sea or Air Scouts, it’s a bit of a shame in some respects the “Lemon Squeezer” is no more.

As some of you know I bought a Campaign Hat last year, so when I mention it realise I’m not wearing kitchenware on my noggin.

Kinda looks like Scouts UK have brought in “new” uniform for Scouts/Explorers/Network/Leaders.

There’s a whole load of new product lines on the Scout Store with “stretch” and they look like they have a slightly different cut too. There also may be different materials. And the Explorer one seems a slightly different colour shade.

At a glance not a noticeable difference, but my mind suggests there is one.
