His LinkedIn profile shows what I expect is his favorite campsite... Joshua Tree National Park. My gut is he's in Joshua Tree or similar, hopefully just cooling off and regaining mental health. Maybe somewhere in the Angeles National Forest. I'd check his favorite campsites and end of the road areas all through the Angeles National Forest. Folks in crisis tend to go to places they know and have previously brought them peace.
