"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal..." only applies to white Christian males, as chosen superiors of women & all people of other colors, receiving his universal "historical" wisdoms about the appearance of human mankind on earth from a scripture barely older than 5-6,000 years, while homo habilis walked our planet 2+ million years ago & anatomically modern humans evolved — racists might not like it — *in Africa* about 300,000 years ago.
Today's "GOP" is a grouping of enemies of the Constitution, and even more troubling, convinced adversaries of the Constitution's fundamental source, the Declaration of Independence.
