The #Lao Government & Chitchareune Construction - a Lao builder will jointly build the 1,200 MW Nong #WindPower plant, with an investment of $1.9 billion, to export #electricity to #Vietnam.
The project, located in Nong district of Laos’s #Savannakhet province, is now processing its feasibility study report towards approval in the second quarter of 2026.
The wind power plant is set to complete its 702 MW first phase with an investment of $1.12 billion by end-2027 & the 498 MW second phase with $797 million after 2030.
The project can export 1.53 billion kWh to Vietnam in the first phase & additional 1.11 billion kWh in the second phase.
