I just watched #Alive, the 2020 zombie survival horror from South Korea on Netflix.

It started lukewarm for me but I quickly loved it.

Let's just say it speaks to the spirit of our times. ๐Ÿ˜…

I don't like zombie movies.

That said, Korean zombie movies are apparently my jam, because they'e all been amazing. I just watched #Alive (#Saraitda in Korean), and it was the first movie I've really enjoyed in weeks. Totally invested and rooted hard for the two MCs.

Along with #TrainToBusan and #AllOfUsAreDead, I think I like Korean zombie entertainment better because they're more about the characters than the carnage. I mean, there's both, but character first.

And this South Korean zombie favorite for tonight! The outbreak happens and a gamer is home alone and just as heโ€™s ready to give up, another survivor in the building across the way saves him from his own noose with a laser pointer. They make a plan to escape together and itโ€™s one helluva escape! Which includes escaping a man trying to feed his zombie wife. ๐Ÿ˜… #alive #koreanfilm #์‚ด์•„์žˆ๋‹ค #Saraitda #khorror #zombie
