One thing about Sankt Peter-Ording: it is not as warm as the Sahara Desert, but you get the feeling walking down to the sea across the sand is just as far in Northern Germany, as it is in Northern Africa.

Always out there with my camera, and sometimes there is an image outside of my usual which appeals. These are the tracks I was soon to drive along at the train station in Elmshorn, on the way to Sankt Peter-Ording yesterday.

After a cup of coffee the journey continues. A train to Sankt Peter-Ording arrives just as the announcement that the train from Sankt Peter Ording is cancelled, and seemingly mass confusion on the platform. I have the choice of seats while "to" and "from" are explained.
Sad news is that a complete class of loud children climb into my carriage. The journey is 51 minutes long. Not good for peace of mind, or my ears.
A platform change for us arriving in Husum, so the changeover would be even longer.
Good thing I don't have urgent plans. Just a relaxing day out.
Dawdling through the landscape, and we're now looking at eight minutes instead of four. Exactly my changeover time, so probably little chance of getting from one platform to the next.
Then again, perhaps there is something interesting to do in Husum for the hour I'm forced to wait? We shall see.
Itzehoe, and this is where the delay is due, as we sit at our platform waiting for permission to drive on. Hopefully a little faster than we've had so far....
