@hamatti so it seems the tournament was scheduled earlier this year so it would not conflict with the Olympics. Provincial finals *might* have kept it from being earlier. They likely don’t want it the same week as the Brier which is right after.
Why so close that Homan didn’t compete in both is still a question. It seems like it could just be a communication and understanding issue.

@KarenKeiller I’ve seen sweeping start at the T line for years. I interpreted it as: you can only sweep behind the T line, and you can only sweep in the path of a stone. The writeup you quote, better matches how I’ve seen curlers wait for the stone to touch the T line.

I did hear there was a rock swept in front of the T line this year. I didn’t see it. It seems to happen every year and seldom makes a difference in the outcomes.

@glnews_mirror it was only Jones’ team in 2022-23. Before that it was team Zacharias, but she stepped back too.
Jones’ old teammates have mostly retired except for Lawes who formed her own team for 2022-23. McEwen was still playing mixed doubles.
It’s nice to see Carey back in #Manitoba 🙂
Being compared to Jones will happen and continue to happen as she set a benchmark for other curlers and Carey is a top ranked skip.
