Cíat Ó GáibhtheacháinI'm impressed! I didn't think it was possible to screw up buying a ticket public transport online as much as the #STIBMIVB app does for #MOBIB. The single point of buying a ticket online is to _avoid_ interacting with the machines. And I shouldn't need to create an account, much less supply a date of birth. Just let people buy the ticket in the app and use #NFC to load it like a remotely sane online ticketing system would. This literally misses the point of basic cards. 🤦
So, I wanted to put a ticket on my #mobibcard before I headed to ULB for the first day of #FOSDEM.
I installed the #STIBMIVB app, clicked on "wallet", and... it wants me to create an account. OK. Seems unnecessary just to buy a ticket, but I guess it's for card storage.
It wants my date of birth for some reason. OK. Seems unnecessary if you have a basic card.
I buy the ticket...
...and the stupid app requires me to use a ticket machine/validator to load the ticket within 24h.
