I had an excellent time at the Society for the Study of Theology conference. I posted thoughts on papers at the other place, since that's where most people in the field (still) are. Such a diverse range of papers, from @amv on Jewish prayer, to Carlton Turner on African-Caribbean prayer practices (with a great postcolonial take on syncretism), and so many fantastic short papers. And it was fab to meet some wonderful people working on great stuff - incl one or two who knew my book! #SST24 #SST2024

Okay, that IS enough work for a Saturday. This conf paper is as good as it's going to get! #SST2024
There are several papers I'm not going to get to hear because I'm timetabled opposite all of them (!) but would very much recommend - Rachel Noel on neurodivergent prayer and masking, Alex Clare-Young on trauma and liturgy, Kay Louise Aldred on ecstatic & erotic experiences of the divine. #SST2024 #Theology
Anyone else going to #SST2024 next week? I'm really looking forward to hearing @amv , Carlton Turner and many other great theologians and religious studies bods. (My paper is on Tuesday at 3- 'Healing the Wounds of Ableism: Curative Prayer and the Normative Body-Mind.') #Theology #DisabilityTheology #Religidons
